Welcome to First Grade!!! I am so excited to be teaching first grade this year. We got off to a wonderful start last week. All of the students came in with smiles on their faces and supplies in their backpacks. :) We practiced the /m/ sound, counted votes and created a graph, practiced reading, and talked about weather. We will continue practicing phonics, graphing, reading, and weather, as well as introducing our themes in Social Studies.
Please make sure your child is in uniform each day and prepared to learn. Talk with your child about paying attention during lessons, following directions, and doing their best. Thank you!!
Also, please make sure you have returned all of the forms sent home last week. If you need anything from me, please email, call, or send in a note.
