CRCT preparations

Now that we have begun the second semester of the school year, I have started preparing my students for the CRCT.  We are practicing using test-taking strategies, such as reading the questions first, re-reading the passage, plugging in the answers, and using the process of elimination.  Students can use these great strategies at any time- in class, on homework, on tests!  We have also taken practice tests using bubble sheets.  I have the students use the strategies and complete the questions on their own (usually between 4 & 10 questions at a time), then we regroup to go over the answers.  The students have to show me proof from the passage to validate their answer, or explain how they worked out the problem to get their answer in Math.
